BIOGRAPHY

Renee K Dversdal, MD, FACP is an Associate Professor of Medicine and academic hospitalist at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU).  Her ultrasound obsession started during her Internal Medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and has continued to grow since returning to OHSU in 2012.  As the Director of OHSU Point of Care Ultrasound, she works in ultrasound education across the medical education spectrum from MD/NP/PA students to residents/fellows & faculty from OHSU & abroad.  As of July, 2016 she also directs the General Medicine Ultrasound Fellowship, which was the first of it’s kind on the West Coast.  She has been active nationally co-Directing CME courses for AIUM & ACP, as a Board Member for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Co-Chair of American College of Physicians Point of Care Ultrasound Advisory Group, and member of the American College of Physicians Clinical Skills Committee.  In July of 2020 she added an exciting new role as the Chief Medical Officer for Vave Health, a ultrasound startup company with a mission to make ultrasound technology available to all clinicians.
